This video introduces research infrastructures, what a distributed research infrastructures can provide to users, as well as its underlying governmental and technical organisation. Real examples are demonstrated from the European Plate Observation System (EPOS) use case.

Part 2
Daniele Bailo explains how interoperable building blocks developed in the framework of VRE4EIC can be used to enhance functionalities of research infrastructures illustrated in the example of the EPOS use case.
